Tasting Notes
Bouvet Samur Brut – Pale lemon in colour with lively streams of big bubbles, a hint of yeast tones from it’s traditional making on the nose with fresh, bright acidic apple and mineral notes, perhaps coming from the limestone soils where the Chenin Blanc grapes are grown.
Flavours are lightly floral, apple and lime, nothing over powers but the wine is distinctive enough to keep you interested and undoubtedly a crowd pleaser…. three of these or one basic Moet Chandon, no brainer!

Planalto Duoro 2019 – Linked to the famous Ferreirinha Port House the table wine producing team select grapes from high up in the cooler parts of the sweltering Duoro vineyards to make this light and refreshing seven grape variety.
Be assured that this is nothing like the green vinho verde often associated with Portuguese white’s, this is a well made and balanced wine that will suit many and is highly versatile with many food pairings.
Pale yellow in colour with fresh bright citrus aromas. Simple and uncomplicated citrus palette with undertones of tropical fruit, think lemon and lime with hints of mango and pineapple with a delicate white pepper finish.

Bread & Butter Pinot Noir 2019 – All wine lovers should add a trip to the Silverado Trail in the Napa Valley to their bucket list and a visit to Bread & Butter will be on the top of my list when I finally get there.

I serve and drink this Pinot Noir lightly chilled, UK winter garage temperature or twenty minutes in the fridge are ideal.
Appearance is of a bright, clear and viscous cherry juice, translucent and silky mouthfeel.
Aromas of red fruits, cherry with raspberry, cranberry and a hint of smoke form the delicate and controlled oak ageing. Packed with luscious red fruity flavours fill your mouth and a burst of strawberry gives way to soft spicy and woody finish.
